Hello Hanna has a variety of means to inspire you, whether it be their Get-Set placemats or the Hello Books.
So who is Hello Hanna? Hello Hanna is Anne Schultz and Jina Choi. They long time friends, fellow creators and moms, who are using their understanding of early childhood development to instil creativity in kids. The motto of Hello Hanna is "for the creative in everyone".
The Hello Books are one-of-a-kind book kits with buildable stickers and a diecut book that becomes the stage for the story to be told in a unique way by your little one. Each book kit is made up of a accordion fold book (closed 5" X 5", open 5" X 30"), 5 sheets of stickers that are buildable (can be layered on top of each other to create any story imaginable), an envelope to be able to mail the finished book or kit. There is also a gallery of ideas to inspire the stories. It is made of FSC-certified recycled paper, so it is fun and good to the planet!
The Review: I was sent 1 of each of these Hello Books to review by Anne, as well as some to giveaway.
The Princess took the Princess themed book immediately, she then claimed the other 2 books, saying Cheeky Monkey was too little to "do it". So away she goes and opens up the Princess-themed book and was so excited to see all the stickers and just shook all over with thoughts about what she was going to be able to do....create her own storybook!
Here is what came in the Princess themed Hello Book (each of the other 2 books had the same setup orientated to the Hello Book theme (monkey and robot). The stickers were builders, you could layer the stickers on each other to get your story told the way just the right way for your imagination. The Princess (mine) was also able to add her own touch to it with her crayons and markers. It became a rainbow of creativity for her in the end. I asked her to tell me the story of the Princess...it was began as all stories do with "Once upon putime..."
Long story, short....she lived happily ever after with her animal friends in the castle. Every time she tells the story it is a little different and sometimes more detail....I love it!!! And a bonus is the fact that it was a great time occupier for me while I got dinner ready, she was busy making her story-tale. Who could ask for more??? I love that it is compact and environmentally friendly produced by the company. It is very vibrant and colourful, I wish I was a kid again so I could enjoy making up my own story. The other 2 books were just as colourful. We went through them together and Princess can't wait to tackle them. I can't wait to hear the stories that accompany them. I totally love the learning to pretend play and imaginative play atmospheres that these book kits create for Princess. One thing I would have like it if the pages enabled the stickers to be removable so that the story could change every time it is entertaining the Princess. So Hello Hanna I will be emailing you this idea for future improvements to keep the creativity flowing.
