Happy Mother's Day!!!

to all you Moms out there from another Mom!

I wish you all the happiest and greatest day, whether it be filled with the joys of beinga new mom or with tears of rememberance of the first years as a Mom, and as you looking at wher the years have gone and now being a more than just "mom". I also want the Moms-to-be to have a great day....before you hear the words spoken you feel the love in your tummy, Mom.

The ability for me to create life is a blessing and I count my 2 blessings everyday. They make me think about what comes out of my mouth and what goes into my head...because it is the great people I want them to become that makes everyday, no matter what turmoil I may find or the mishaps that take place, a learning experience for all of our family.

Mom,
I want to thank you for being my Mom and always being there for me when I was growing up and even now as I experience the trials and tribulations of being a mother. You taught me that life is a precious thing and to make the most of every moment. And you taught me that it's okay if the laundry piles up and the floors aren't swept as long as my kiddies are having a great experience. Now that I am further from you than I could have ever imagined, I value your advice even more, whether it be reassuring me that IT does happen, on a daily basis or that I was like that to (when I talk about the pickiness or any other tantrum I am dealing with) as a little girl. I may have wanted to spread my wings growing up but now there are times I want to come back home to begin my new life with you living just a walk away...I can only dream and wish upon the first star I see regularly.  I want my kiddies to get to know you more than ever as a great Nana, and more than anything I want to get to know as another Mother.  Thank you for all your sacrifices over the years of us growing up, and I know that no matter where I am in this vast land I can always count on you to offer me a sound piece of advice. I miss you more and more everyday as the kiddies grow and experience and change almost instantly over night.
Thank you for being my MOM.

I also want to take this time to remember Mr. Man's mother who passed away 9 years ago. I wish she could have seen the beautiful kids we created. They would have loved her, as I know she would them. Even though, I didn't know her for very long I thank her for raising such a wonderful man as my hubby. She is missed and loved and thought of daily. For the kids, pictures are our way of creating a love.

To my Nana,
Even though you are no longer with us, even now I find myself thinking back and wondering what you would do if you were me. I wish my kids could get to know the wonderful and strong lady that taught my about compassion and strength. You were the person who showed me how to be a strong woman, with your love of family, raising 12 of your own as well as half of Storeytown/ Doaktown along with your grandchildren. I carry with me that love of family and strength everyday. You are missed by us all.

To my Grammie,
I love you. You carry your heart on you sleeve and have a love that can move mountains. Thanks for all the trips camping and elsewhere. You craftiness has worn off onto me. I love you for it. Happy Mother's Day

To my Great Gram,
I take from you the strength and craftiness as well. You showed me that no matter what your age you can do pretty much just about anything, within limits. I will always carry you in my heart and think of you often. Love you Great Gram!


There I have many other wonderful women in my life that are mothers that have a part in shaping who I am as a mother and I thank you all. Happy Mother's Day to each and everyone of you!
