Today, April 14, 2010, is Anti-Bully Day here in Canada, so we wear PINK to show support to stop bullying in schools, workforce and over the Internet. Started by 2 high school students to honour a Grade 9 student new to their school in Nova Scotia who was bullied by fellow students for wearing a PINK shirt. These 2 strong-minded students went out and purchased PINK shirts for all the boys to wear in solidarity for their fellow schoolmate. And the moral of the story is that anyone can make a difference in the world whether it be big or small. These 2 young boys took it upon themselves to stand up for something they felt was unfair and not National Anti-Bully Day is commemorated every year by the wearing something PINK (Shirt) Campaign.
We (the kiddies and I) wear a PINK to stand up against bullying everywhere....because it affects us all at some point in our lives.
